Life on heels

Life is like walking on heels
Looking elegant and sharp
Inhaling respect and admiration
Being taller than everyone
Even though you can’t see tomorrow
No matter how tall you are

Life is like walking on heels
You have to adjust to the heights
Avoid the potholes
Keep your head up and smile even when it hurts.
It is like climbing the hills of life
No matter how slippery
And begging your hurting knees to hold on a little longer
While your waist peacock their way around

Life is like walking on heels
It is quickly recovering from a fall
Because you know that those who secretly admire
Will miss no chance to laugh
‘C’est les mauvaises choses qui font rire’, they say.
